Overview

Florida Crystals is a leading domestic sugar producer and North America’s first fully integrated cane sugar company, guiding our sugar from farm to table. The Welder D role involves inspecting and testing welds to ensure they meet design requirements, safety standards, and structural reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and test welds to ensure they meet design requirements and safety standards.
  • Weld in various positions as required.
  • Weld coupons to standards.
  • Demonstrate entry-level welding techniques during testing.
  • Display willingness to progress in skills and responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Must have completed 1000 hours of a welding course at a Community College with Certification.
  • Must have completed 1050 hours of a mechanic course at a Community College with Certification.
  • Possess a High School Diploma or GED or other equivalency approved by Okeelanta Management.
  • Some hands-on mechanic experience is preferable.
  • Knowledge of welding equipment and supplies is required.
  • Must be able to communicate written and verbally in English.
  • Must follow instructions and have good attendance.
  • Good communication skills and safety-minded attitude are essential.
  • Ability to work well with others is required.
