Responsibilities
- Weld components together in a production environment under supervision.
- Position material to be welded and apply hand-eye coordination to achieve the desired weld.
- Make acceptable welds when shown procedures and locations.
- Maintain the condition of weld fixtures and ensure dimensional accuracy of weldments.
- Weld in flat and horizontal positions to specification.
- Weld materials including steel and other alloys using various methods.
- Notify lead or supervisor when weld fixtures need repair or adjustment.
- Plan, layout, and perform diversified work as required.
- Regulate heat and feed and select electrodes and tips.
- Work from specifications, drawings, prints, and welding symbols.
- Look for ways to improve and promote quality.
- Meet productivity standards and complete work in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Six months to one year of related experience or training.
- Required to pass Welder I level internal weld test.
- Follow safety rules and procedures and wear personal protective equipment.
- Keep weld curtains in place to protect others.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Complete responsibilities in a timely, professional, and quality manner.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and blueprints.
- Observe safety and security procedures and report unsafe conditions.
- Demonstrate ability and willingness to learn and seek development activities.
- Crosstrain and work in other departments as necessary.

- Work location is Oregon, IL.
- Available to work on site as required by job.
- Available to work 1st Shift Hours.
- Welders work a 40-hour week, plus overtime as required.
