Overview

TPI Staffing Service is looking for Welders (Mig, Tig, and Stick) to apply gtaw welding techniques to produce strong joints on galvanized and stainless-steel duct work. The role requires proficiency in various welding methods and the ability to operate necessary tools.

Responsibilities

  • Apply gtaw welding techniques to produce strong joints on galvanized and stainless-steel duct work.
  • Operate tools such as grinders, welding equipment, squares, and drills.
  • Select and install all consumables for the welding process.
  • Regulate gas flow by adjusting the flow meter.
  • Set the machine for proper penetration.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints for layout.
  • Measure and align metal work pieces using straightedges, clamps, and calipers.
  • Assess welds to ensure they meet quality standards.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Mig, Tig, and Stick welding.
  • Knowledgeable in operating welding tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints.
  • Must pass a pre-employment welding test.
