Overview

Gryphon Environmental, Inc. provides advanced industrial drying technology that converts waste sludge and other waste streams into beneficial materials and renewable fuels. The Welder / Fabricator role involves fabricating and assembling components for industrial drying equipment while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
• Fabricate and assemble components for industrial drying equipment.
• Measure, cut, fit, and weld metal parts.
• Operate shop equipment such as saws, grinders, and drills.
• Perform quality checks on welds and finished assemblies.
• Set up welding equipment and select appropriate materials and processes.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area in alignment with company safety standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and production team members to meet project deadlines.

Requirements

• Proficiency in welding processes, including Welding, Arc Welding, MIG Welding, and TIG Welding.
• Understanding of materials properties and appropriate selection and handling for fabrication work.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Experience using fabrication tools and equipment, such as cutting torches, grinders, drills, and measuring instruments.
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and attention to detail in all welding and fabrication tasks.
• Physical ability to lift materials, stand for extended periods, and work in a shop/industrial environment.
• Previous welder/fabricator experience in manufacturing or industrial equipment production preferred.
• Relevant vocational training, certification, or apprenticeship in welding or metal fabrication is a plus.
