Overview

Depot Connect International (DCI) is a global leader in the Tank/ISO Tank Container Services and Tank Trailer Parts industry, headquartered in Tampa, Florida, with over 160 locations worldwide. The Tank Welder Helper will assist tank welders and mechanics in various tasks related to tank maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities

• Pressure test tanks, drain and dry out tanks
• Repair and replace tank container valves, gaskets, and gauges
• Operate hoists, cranes, and precision measuring and testing instruments
• Observe and listen to mechanical devices to diagnose causes of mechanical issues
• Repair and replace defective parts, inspect and adjust used parts
• Lubricate and clean parts
• Operate lathe, drill press and grinders
• Use hand tools and power tools
• Buff tanks as needed

Requirements

• Candidates will possess a mechanical background
• Possess good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Detail oriented
• Ability to wear a respirator and be comfortable with heights on top of tanks
• Work in enclosed spaces inside of tanks
