Overview

Clean Harbors, located in La Porte, TX, is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to perform hands-on maintenance activities to keep the plant operational, including rebuilding pumps and working on piping, insulation, pneumatics, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies and acting safely.
• Perform maintenance activities including pump rebuilds, preventative maintenance, and basic installations of pipe and electrical work.
• Conduct basic repairs and upkeep in welding, electrical, pipe fitting, and mechanical disciplines.
• Assist higher-level maintenance personnel on complex maintenance activities.
• Operate a forklift if required and trained.
• Ensure work meets all applicable Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures.
• Maintain compliance standards within the facility operation.
• Keep a clean work environment.
• Review applicable SOPs annually and achieve satisfactory scores on SOP quizzes.
• Manage supplies in their area of responsibility, ensuring proper housekeeping and best management practices.
• Adhere to all applicable CHES policies and SOPs.
• Perform job functions in compliance with company standards.
• Complete other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of experience in an industrial maintenance setting is required.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Proficiencies in electrical, pipe fitting, mechanical, and/or welding preferred.
• Previous experience in preventative maintenance or basic installations at a facility preferred.

Additional Information

• Shift: 7:00am-4:00pm; rotating mandatory Saturday coverage of 6:30am-5:00pm.
• Pay: $28-35 DOE.
