Overview

Optimized Process Designs, LLC (OPD) is seeking a Rigger for their jobsite in Baytown, TX. OPD is an engineering and construction company with expertise in the natural gas and petrochemical industries, known for its reputation for integrity and efficiency in project execution.

Responsibilities

• Lifting and moving heavy equipment and materials using mechanical equipment.
• Attaching loads using chains, slings, cables, hooks, and other related equipment.
• Manually handling and securely applying rigging equipment.
• Attaching and detaching loads effectively.
• Monitoring and maintaining all rigging equipment.
• Effectively communicating with the rigging team.
• Familiarity with standard crane hand signals.
• Assessing weights of loads and equipment needed to lift safely.

Requirements

• At least 1.5 years of experience as a rigger or ironworker.
• NCCER Rigger Certification Level 1.
• Knowledgeable of crane signals (hand and verbal).
• Ability to follow company safety procedures and industry best practices.
• Willingness to travel with extended periods away from home.
• Ability to work shifts up to 12 hours per day and 7 days a week when needed.
• Ability to meet all physical demands of the job.
