Overview
Custom Truck One Source (CTOS) is a 30+ year industry leader with over 40 locations and a large fleet supporting various industries. They are hiring a Field Service Mechanic to diagnose and repair specialized utility equipment in the field.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the field expert diagnosing and repairing specialized utility equipment.
- Work on bucket trucks, digger derricks, cranes, service trucks, and related equipment.
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain aerial, construction, and light/heavy-duty truck systems.
- Perform inspections, troubleshooting, parts replacement, and repairs on rental, customer, and company units.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and repair orders/instructions.
- Perform work as outlined by the Service Manager efficiently and accurately.
- Diagnose and repair LMI Diagnostics and CAN bus.
- Inspect and service vehicles and make repairs and adjustments in the field.
- Verify work performed and road test vehicles as necessary.
- Prepare inspection reports, repair orders, and timecards completely and accurately.
- Tag all warranty and core parts for return.
- Advise management if additional work is needed or if repairs cannot be completed on time.
- Attend CTOS safety training and follow all safety requirements.
- Communicate easily with customers and internal departments to minimize equipment downtime.
- Work closely with the Service Manager to improve customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Five years of related experience in Shop Tech and Field Tech.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license (CDL Class B preferred).
- Must have your own tools.
- Proficient in documentation using software, meeting deadlines and schedules.
