Overview
The Production Fabricator is responsible for identifying materials and resources, operating production equipment, and ensuring product specifications are met. This role involves manufacturing, configuring, packing, and prepping orders for shipment while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Vinyl laydown first and second surface, weeding, taping, laminating.
- Assembly and wiring of LED pricers.
- Fabrication of sheet metal.
- Painting.
- MIG, TIG, and Stick Welding.
- Use of all machinery and tools in fabrication.
- Maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Cleanliness of shop.
- Storing of fabrication/production materials to Promotion Plus standards.
- Knowledge of packaging and shipping.
- Daily production meeting with Supervisor to review work orders with set timeframes.
- Maintain material inventory list.
- Open design software and send files to Large Format Printer, Vinyl Plotter, Laminator and Router.
- Operate the Large Format Printer, Vinyl Plotter, Laminator and Router.
- Maintain a daily loss report and propose solutions to avoid future losses.
- Create basic production files in CorelDraw & FlexiSign.
- Maintain on time completion & accuracy ratio above 90%.
- Prepare Production Department Vital Factor Report for Friday Department & Monday Operations Meeting.
- Retrieve Work Orders and ensure completeness.
- Apply UL labels.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently with little direction.
- Adapt to change easily and quickly respond to changing assignments, work settings and priorities.
- Operate large trucks to deliver materials to job locations.
- Assess current practices and present improved systems to upper management.
