Overview
The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment in a production environment. This role involves troubleshooting, inspecting, and repairing various mechanical devices, while also adhering to safety and operational protocols.
Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment using hand tools and power tools.
- Diagnose machinery components and determine necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Observe mechanical devices in operation and troubleshoot problems.
- Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts.
- Inspect used parts for dimensional changes using measuring instruments.
- Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
- Repair or replace defective parts.
- Advise the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager of operational problems.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Comply with safety, health, environmental, and company policies.
- Perform preventative plant maintenance.
- Conduct general plant maintenance inspection and diagnosis.
- Weld and cut as needed.
- Maintain, repair, and clean MRF equipment.
- Maintain, repair, and clean exhaust fans.
Requirements
- 1 years' experience in maintenance and repair in a production environment.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Fabrication knowledge including Mig, Tig, Arc, Oxy Acetylene, and brazing.
- Sufficient working knowledge of plant component repairs and replacements.
- Ability to troubleshoot and identify electrical/mechanical issues safely.
- Valid Class C Driver's License.
- Acceptable Driver's Record.
- Must possess personal tools and have own toolbox.
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
Additional Information
- Hourly wage ranges from $24.63 to $36.31.
- Schedule is Monday to Saturday from 9:00 pm to 5:30 am.
