Overview

Canteen is hiring immediately for full-time MECHANIC I positions in Santa Fe Springs, CA. The role involves operating and maintaining various equipment while providing quality customer service.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains all equipment, including HVAC systems and high-pressure boilers.
• Provides quality customer service by giving one-on-one attention to detail.
• Responds to dispatch calls for machine repairs using a company vehicle.
• Calls on existing customers to assess service adequacy and resolves complaints.
• Visually inspects machines to identify malfunctions and dismantles them for repairs.
• Inspects parts for wear and replaces or repairs as necessary.
• Reviews inventory and orders parts, maintaining equipment inventory.
• Sets up and operates mechanical equipment and small hand tools for repairs.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment and performs jobs safely.
• Consistently supports the department by striving for excellence.
• Contributes to the team and exhibits professionalism with customers and colleagues.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous technical background experience required.
• Type I Refrigeration Certification.
• Valid Non-CDL Class C driver's license.

• Location: Canteen - 9840 Alburtis Avenue, Santa Fe Springs, CA 90607.
• Schedule: Full time, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
