Overview

The Plant Maintenance Technician II is responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment in a production environment. This role involves troubleshooting, inspecting, and repairing various mechanical devices, while also ensuring compliance with safety and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Observe mechanical devices in operation and troubleshoot problems.
• Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts using tools.
• Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments using tools.
• Repair or replace defective parts.
• Advise the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager of any operational problems.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Comply with all safety, health, environmental, and other company policies.
• Perform preventative plant maintenance.
• Conduct general plant maintenance inspection and diagnosis & repairs.
• Weld and cut as needed.
• Maintain, repair, and clean MRF Equipment.
• Maintain, repair, and clean exhaust fans.

Requirements

• 1 year of experience in maintenance and repair in a production environment.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Fabrication knowledge (Mig/Tig/Arc/Oxy Acetylene/brazing etc.).
• Sufficient working knowledge regarding plant component repairs and replacements.
• Ability to effectively troubleshoot and identify electrical/mechanical issues.
• Perform all tasks safely and in accordance with applicable OSHA rules.
• Consistently behave in a professional manner.
• Valid Class C Driver's License.
• Acceptable Driver's Record.
• Must possess personal tools.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Must have own toolbox.
