Overview

Walmart is seeking a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain the operational integrity and efficiency of food equipment in its stores. This role involves executing routine maintenance tasks and ensuring the safety and functionality of facilities and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.

Requirements

• 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Can lift up to 50 lbs. at a time.
• Can move up and down ladders frequently.
• Comfortable working at heights frequently.
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods.
• Able to work in various temperatures.
• Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.
• 3 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade, or 5 years' experience in the same.
