Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, disassemble, clean, check, repair, rework, replace, fabricate, assemble, install, and adjust building components and plant equipment.
- Execute assignments requiring plumbing and millwright skills.
- Weld materials as needed.
- Perform general building maintenance and construction work.
- Maintain locks and keys for facilities and airport locations.
- Assist in storage, removal, and clean-up of hazardous waste.
- Ensure proper completion of forms, records, reports, and other paperwork.
- Request parts and clean work area after each shift.
- Perform Foreign Object Debris (FOD) walks.
- Coordinate with vendors regarding technical questions and escort them throughout airport property.
- Report to position on time and perform all functions in accordance with safety procedures.
- Complete job-relevant trainings and adhere to government regulations.
- Coordinate with other employees, vendors, and stakeholders to accomplish work tasks.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand English.
- Minimum of 36 months journeyman experience in maintenance trades.
- Possess applicable state or city license.
- Willingness to work outdoors in any weather conditions.
- Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Must fulfill FAA criminal background checks for airport access.
- Must complete drug screening process.
