Overview
PPI Quality & Engineering is a global provider of quality assurance and inspection services for the energy industry, expanding its Quality Control team with experienced QC Specialists. This role involves performing inspections and testing activities to ensure compliance with industry codes and customer specifications.
Responsibilities
- Witness inspections and testing per inspection test plans and quality plans.
- Verify inspection, measurement, and test equipment is calibrated and meets job requirements.
- Validate technician certifications are current for the intended scope of activity.
- Work professionally with Suppliers regarding scheduling and job execution.
- Generate reports documenting rejection and acceptance of inspections and testing activities.
- Communicate job progression and inspection results to coordinators and customers.
- Promote safe work practices and comply with safety guidelines.
- Comply with PPI Quality Management System.
Requirements
- Current Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.
- 5+ years of shop inspection experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Thorough understanding of third-party inspection processes.
- Experience with industry quality standards and codes.
- Adequate verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic PC skills and proficiency with spreadsheets.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Decision-making ability regarding day-to-day operations.
