Alts | Alteration Specialists is seeking a dynamic professional Fitter/Tailor to join their team in New York City, Brooklyn, Long Island, Hoboken, NJ, and Greenwich, CT. This full-time role involves fittings, sewing, building client relationships, and supporting the tailor shop manager, offering a competitive salary and benefits with growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional, warm, welcoming studio environment.
• Conduct fittings according to the Alteration Specialists Standard.
• Build relationships with clients, influencers, brands, and stylists.
• Make every client feel welcome and confident in the skills of you and your team.
• Demonstrate that you are meeting personal production targets.
• Cultivate proficiency with mens, womens, and bridal alterations as well as alterations of difficult fabrics.
• Constantly evaluate processes that are not efficient and propose solutions.
• Inform front desk of all re-alterations.
• Keep track of and scan your production during the day and communicate with front desk to confirm accuracy.

Requirements

• 7-10 years of alteration tailoring experience required.
• 2-3 years of general fitting experience required.
• 1 year of fitting both men's and women's garments required.
• Proficiency in English required.
