The Maintenance Mechanic role in Tolleson, AZ, focuses on mechanical and electrical service and repair of industrial equipment, ensuring a clean and safe work environment while adhering to food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform installations and debug new equipment
• Maintain, overhaul & repair various types of equipment, systems, components, etc.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on all industrial machinery
• Troubleshoot and modify any/all industrial machinery
• Provide concise reports using SAP programs and related forms
• Assist with equipment retrofits/upgrades
• Understand common mechanical principles, electrical and electronic theory
• Perform all work in accordance with established OSHA, EPA and safety regulations
• Handle building maintenance & repair
• Maintain a neat and orderly maintenance shop
• Perform food safety review when work order is completed
• Maintain separated storage of food safe and non-food safe lubricants and ensure proper use in the machines
• Complete miscellaneous duties as directed by supervisor

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Possess basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Capable of working in hot environments and in areas where inks and lubricants are used
• Must be able to think on your feet, work with limited supervision and make sound decisions
• Solid knowledge of company policies and the ability to hold people accountable
• Capable of communicating with all levels of internal and external customers
• Must be capable of standing for long periods of time and be able to frequently lift and carry 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Must have good communication skills and basic computer and math skills
• Regularly required to stand, sit, move about facility, climb stairs, bend, twist, kneel, crouch or crawl, use hands and fingers to touch, handle, or feel objects, tools and controls, grasp, push, pull, reach with hands and arms, lift above shoulder level
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
