Overview

The Technical Trainer – Fabrication is responsible for delivering structured technical instruction and certification training for fabrication operators in various roles including CNC machining and welding. This role aims to enhance workforce readiness, equipment proficiency, and ensure safety and compliance across fabrication workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver multi-discipline technical training across CNC Saw, CNC Drill Line, Robotic Weld Centers, Manual Welding/Fitting, Blast & Paint, Fabrication Material Handling, and Fabrication QC roles.
  • Lead advanced safety certifications including Hot Work, LOTO (Authorized User), Crane/Rigging, Forklift, and Respiratory Protection.
  • Conduct safety and compliance training covering machine guarding, ergonomics, tool safety, chemical handling, and confined space awareness.
  • Provide hands-on OJT for equipment startup, operation, changeover, and shutdown aligned to SOPs and work instructions.
  • Validate operator qualification through skill demonstrations, written assessments, and supervisor sign-off prior to independent production work.
  • Collaborate with QC and Reliability to refine training based on defect trends, near-miss data, and continuous improvement insights.
  • Maintain certification compliance.
