The Fleet Mechanic position involves performing diagnostics and repairs on various vehicle systems while adhering to company policies and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Communicate effectively and maintain a professional demeanor.
• Perform complex diagnostics on all vehicle systems.
• Determine appropriate maintenance and repairs on vehicle components.
• Perform state required inspections.
• Inspect works orders and perform repairs within predetermined time standards.
• Accurately diagnose issues while following safety procedures.
• Account for all work performed and parts used.
• Perform heavy physical labor in various outdoor conditions.
• Work flexible shifts, including holidays, evenings, and weekends.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience.
• Knowledge of diesel engines (Perkins & Kabota).
• Knowledge of gas engines (Chevy & GMC).
• Knowledge of hydraulics.
• Welding skills.
• Familiarity with sweeping heads and associated equipment.
• General vehicle maintenance skills.
• Ability to operate hydraulic press and rim clamp tire machine.
• Candidates must provide their own tools.
