Overview

Carlisle Companies is a leading manufacturer of building envelope products and solutions focused on energy efficiency, durability, and sustainability. They are looking for an experienced maintenance technician to join their Phoenix team, responsible for repairing mechanical, electrical, and boiler systems within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance.
  • Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and detect issues.
  • Inspect or test damaged machine parts and mark defective areas or advise supervisors.
  • Lubricate or apply adhesives to machines, machine parts, or other equipment according to specific procedures.
  • Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments according to production needs.
  • Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or other equipment.
  • Record production, repair, and machine maintenance.
  • Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair.
  • Set up and operate machines and adjust controls to regulate operation.
  • Transport machine parts, tools, equipment, and other material between work areas and storage.
  • Collect and discard worn machine parts and other refuse to maintain machinery and work areas.
  • Clean machines and machine parts using cleaning solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, or other equipment.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • One to two years related maintenance experience.
  • Previous experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, and boiler maintenance preferred.
  • Mechanical background with rotating hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Electrical/mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of measuring gauges such as tape measures.
  • Knowledge of various hand and power tools.
  • Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized instructions.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of basic math, reading, and writing skills.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Ability to work under pressure to complete assigned tasks.
  • Ability to use hand and portable tools, gas and arc welder, forklift, pickup truck, testing equipment, tape measure, and computer.

Additional Information

  • Shift: 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm, OT as required.
  • Fast paced manufacturing environment with exposure to ambient/outside temperatures and dust.
  • Exposure to hazardous mechanical, electrical and chemical substances/equipment.
