Overview

The Tooling Technician / Manual Lathe Machinist position involves operating and maintaining various equipment, troubleshooting production tools, and collaborating with teams to enhance efficiency. This role is crucial for ensuring the functionality of machinery and tools in a safety-sensitive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain a variety of equipment, including manual lathes, grinders, and milling machines.
  • Troubleshoot and repair production equipment and tools.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on machinery and tools.
  • Fabricate, modify, and repair tooling and fixtures.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve processes and increase efficiency.
  • Other duties as needed or required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred.
  • MANUAL LATHE EXPERIENCE A ++++
  • USING 4 CHUCKS EXPERIENCE A ++++
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring tools and reading technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with CNC programming and operation.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Additional Information

  • Safety Sensitive Position.
  • Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) through the entire shift.
  • Ability to be aware of surroundings for safety concerns.
  • Frequent standing for extended periods of time; occasional stooping and walking required.
