Overview

Hadrian is a company focused on building autonomous factories to revolutionize manufacturing for aerospace and defense industries. The Workforce Programs Manager will be responsible for scoping workforce requirements for new programs, ensuring that labor models and training strategies are effectively developed to meet production needs.

Responsibilities

  • Embed with sales and federal teams to scope workforce requirements before commitments are finalized.
  • Read and interpret statements of work, contract terms, and program milestones to create executable workforce plans.
  • Identify labor, training, and certification obligations for programs and surface risks and gaps.
  • Build labor models and headcount plans for new programs and capability expansions.
  • Validate labor assumptions in deal and operational models for consistency.
  • Own the workforce-cost view of a program and defend it to finance and operations.
  • Design training and certification strategies for new capabilities.
  • Map external certification requirements into the training plan for compliance.
  • Define cohort timing, trainer ratios, and lead times from hire to certified.
  • Own the framework for build-versus-partner decisions regarding workforce needs.
  • Manage institutional partnerships with community colleges, trade schools, and universities.
  • Represent Hadrian in partner negotiations and relationship management.
  • Work closely with the Director of Workforce Development to ensure organizational readiness.
  • Provide forward-looking inputs for hiring and curriculum development.
  • Maintain visibility into the workforce pipeline across programs.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in workforce planning, labor modeling, program management, or business development.
  • Strong familiarity with manufacturing, defense, or government contracting environments.
  • Experience building headcount or labor models for new programs.
  • Experience in customer-facing or federal program work.
  • Strong business and commercial mindset.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication skills.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguous environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Workforce Development, Public Policy, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.
