Delta, founded in 1971, is a global provider of power and thermal management solutions focused on innovative, clean, and energy-efficient solutions. The Welding Lead oversees daily operations in the welding department, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Close work orders within 24 hours.
- Accurately complete production reports and details of run time report.
- Assess project and resource requirements.
- Read, review, plan, and organize production schedules.
- Promote safety in the workplace and lead the Safety Program.
- Ensure compliance with PPE requirements.
- Report safety issues to the manager.
- Maintain housekeeping standards through inspections and training.
- Provide on-the-job training for associates.
- Set goals for employees and hold them accountable.
- Share and review company mission and goals.
- Gather regular feedback from the team.
- Maintain scrap reports and manage material usage.
- Ensure area inventory control.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Be ready to work before and after shifts.
- Manage team meetings and attend management meetings as necessary.
- Lead by example in safety, quality, and productivity.
- Identify production limiting factors and recommend improvements.
- Maintain department procedures and compliance with QMS.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of proven Press Brake experience and automation.
- Ability to program, operate, and set up CNC Press Brakes (Amada).
- Experience in reviewing CNC programs and tooling.
- Ability to wear protective equipment.
- Ability to use measuring tools and understand flat pattern layout.
- Ability to stand for long periods and operate a forklift.
- Lift up to 40 lbs.
- Demonstrated competency in basic math.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Computer literate in MS Office and ERP Systems (SAP).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
