Overview

MCI is a 46-year-old industry leader in the design, manufacture, and assembly of various electrical and metal fabrication products. They are seeking Combination Welders to join their team, where the role involves welding and assembling new metal forms with a focus on precision and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Use specialized equipment to weld and assemble new metal forms.
  • Weld and fabricate products from mechanical drawings, diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Follow OSHA safety guidelines.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive work in a non-climate-controlled shop.
  • Produce quality UT passable welds on carbon steel, stainless steel, and/or aluminum.
  • Set up workstation and manually TIG or MIG weld per job instructions.
  • Take responsibility for quality assurance checks on work.
  • Accurately read a tape measure and use overhead and jib cranes.
  • Adapt to a demanding, changing work environment.
  • Perform tasks that may not be in a particular job description and take initiative.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of welding experience.
  • Ability to meet production time and quality demands.
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, twist, and stand for long periods.
  • Advanced knowledge of reading drawings and specifications.
  • Experience using overhead and jib cranes.
  • Attention to detail and pride in work.
  • Must be a team player.

Additional Information

  • Night shift available from 4:30 PM to 3:00 AM Mon-Thurs.
  • Work environment includes exposure to all weather conditions, fumes, airborne particles, and loud noise levels.
