Overview

The Maintenance Mechanic - Processing at Mary Kay is responsible for the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of all mechanical equipment related to processing, sanitation, and water systems. The role involves troubleshooting, documentation, and collaboration with teams to minimize production impact while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on production machinery and equipment according to established schedules.
• Inspect, test, and service equipment to detect malfunctions and ensure optimal performance.
• Resolve any issues discovered during preventative maintenance to minimize operational downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work performed.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
• Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems to restore equipment functionality.
• Utilize various tools and equipment to complete repairs and maintenance tasks efficiently.
• Assist in the installation, assembly, and disassembly of machinery and equipment.
• Perform equipment upgrades and modifications to enhance production efficiency and safety.
• Collaborate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent with a technical certification or associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.
• 2+ years in manufacturing maintenance.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, P&ID's, blueprints, and schematics.
• Familiarity with PLC systems and basic programming is a plus.
• Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills within and between different teams.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Basic computer skills in using the Internet, word, excel, and Outlook.
• Must be able to frequently stand, walk, stoop, crouch, kneel, climb, push, pull, reach, and move equipment and machinery weighing up to 60 lbs.
• Comfortable working in various environmental conditions.
• Certification in sanitary welding is a plus.

• Full-time employment
• Work Hours - 8 hrs/day - Monday - Friday (40 hrs/week)
• Work schedule – 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• Shift differential Yes
