Overview

Dare Commercial Services is seeking a Part Time to Full Time General Mechanic to maintain and repair a fleet of 20 vehicles and small equipment. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of various engines and be able to diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair a variety of construction equipment and vehicles.
• Perform timely repair and preventative maintenance on small engines and vehicles with diesel and gas engines.

Requirements

• Must have small equipment knowledge and general auto repair skills.
• Knowledge of a variety of engines and ability to diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Must have your own basic set of tools.
• Welding knowledge is a plus.
• Must be able to work weekends.
• Capable of heavy lifting (up to 60 pounds).
• Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• A track record of adhering to scheduling and attendance requirements.
• Excellent attendance and ability to handle responsibility.
• Highly productive with minimal guidance or supervision.
• Experience in cooling systems, electrical systems, diesel/gas engines, fuel systems, steering, suspension, auto body repair, painting, and welding is preferred.
• Maintain a safe work environment.
• Demonstrate persistence, strive to improve skills and achieve goals.
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
