Overview

KMM Group is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist – Mill-Turn (Set Up/Operator) to join their manufacturing team in Hatboro, PA. The role involves setting up and running multi-axis Mill-Turn machines to produce complex, tight-tolerance parts while continuously improving processes.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run multi-axis Mill-Turn machines (2–11 axis)
• Read prints, job folders, and plan the best way to run the job
• Dial in tooling, speeds, and offsets for best performance
• Inspect parts to ensure they meet tight tolerances
• Troubleshoot issues and improve the process as you go
• Make smart NC code edits when needed
• Keep jobs running on time and within expected cycle times
• Think ahead and set up jobs for lights-out machining when possible
• Look for ways to improve cycle time, tooling, and setups
• Share ideas to make processes better, faster, and more reliable
• Help train and support other machinists when needed
• Keep your work area clean and organized

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years CNC machining experience (mill-turn environment preferred)
• Strong understanding of multi-axis machining and setup techniques
• Experience with Fanuc, Mitsubishi, or Siemens controls
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Experience with equipment such as DMG Mori (NLX, NZX series) preferred
• High school diploma required; vocational training or apprenticeship preferred
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality (98%+ yield targets)
• Problem-solver with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize processes
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently or as part of a team
• Focused on efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement
