Overview
The Diesel Mechanic position involves performing mechanical repairs on class 8 trucks, trailers, and construction equipment. Applicants should have at least two years of experience or a technical school background, and the role offers full-time employment with competitive wages and benefits.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical repairs on class 8 trucks, trailers, and construction equipment.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on any make and model.
- Diagnose and repair engines and transmissions.
- Use computer diagnostics for various engine types.
- Diagnose and repair air and hydraulic brake systems.
- Remove and replace truck and trailer components.
- Work with cooling systems and EGR/DPF systems.
- Perform various duties as assigned.
Requirements
- At least two years of mechanic experience or graduation from a technical school program.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Driver's License required; CDL preferred.
- Experience with all makes and models of trucks and engines preferred.
