Overview
Ingersoll Rand is seeking a reliable CNC Lathe Machinist to join their Machine Shop team in Ivyland, PA. The role involves setting up and operating machine tools to produce precision parts while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Set up and run production on all machines while managing tool conditions.
- Setup and operate machine tools, including lathes, grinders, and CNC machines.
- Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials for each job.
- Use precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet specified tolerances.
- Operate machines to manufacture parts following detailed blueprints and quality standards.
- Identify and report defects or issues in the machinist process.
- Perform routine maintenance on machine tools to ensure effective operation.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues, engineers, and supervisors to optimize processes.
- Participate in training programs to improve Machinist skills and product knowledge.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2+ years’ experience in operating CNC Lathe machines in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience using various hand, pneumatic, and power tools.
- Experience in using precision measuring tools.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints or technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills with verbal and written communication.
- Demonstrated time management skills and adaptability.
- Ability to lift a maximum of 35 lbs individually and 70 lbs for a team lift.
- Test PSI limit no greater than 30,000.
