The Machine Operator position at Hanwha Philly Shipyard involves operating and maintaining CNC machines, milling, lathes, plasma tables, and robotics while adhering to safety procedures. Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Hanwha Philly Shipyard safety procedures.
• Review setup sheets, drawings, and specifications for setup procedures.
• Align, position, secure, and fit parts according to setup instructions.
• Inspect, maintain, and operate machines per established procedures.
• Perform necessary repairs and report quality issues to the supervisor.
• Maintain written logs of daily operations.
• Manage consumable inventory as required.
• Measure and inspect workpieces for conformance to specifications.
• Notify supervisor of machine discrepancies and malfunctions.
• Adjust machine control parameters as needed.
• Maintain machinery and a safe, clean work environment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience operating numerical controlled machines or programming automated systems.
• Experience in milling, cutting, bending/forming/stamping, welding, and robotics.
• Basic knowledge of machines, equipment, and welding processes.
• Understanding of engineered drawings and technical documents.
• Knowledge of shipbuilding methods and equipment is a plus.
• Ability to utilize typical tools necessary for the position.
• Knowledge of workplace safety.
• Creativeness and proactive work habits.
• Ability to work independently according to valid instructions.
