Overview

Venturi Supply is a national network of distributors specializing in pipe, valves, fittings, tanks, and industrial supplies. The Fabrication Associate is responsible for creating finished products based on provided drawings and material cut lists.

Responsibilities

• Tacks material together and checks layout based on drawing before finish welding material.
• Reads and interprets blueprints and sketches, following both verbal and written instructions.
• Uses a tape measure and gauges to identify types of materials according to specifications.
• Performs high-level shop math, converting decimals to fractional equivalents and vice versa.
• Layouts, measures, and marks dimensions and reference lines on materials.
• Sets up and operates fabricating machines and uses air/hand tools.
• Inspects parts for accuracy and consistently produces quality products.
• Completes additional projects as assigned by the supervisor.
• Performs additional duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

• GED or High School Diploma.
• Technical knowledge of machinery, tools, gauging, and fabrication.
• 1 year of fabrication experience required.
• Computer literate and proficient with MS Office 365.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to solve problems effectively.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven experience with quality control analysis.
• Basic knowledge of math and geometry.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
• Detail-oriented work style with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Physical requirements include sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to pass a background check, MVR check, and drug test.
