Overview
The Flavor Line Mechanic position at TreeHouse Foods involves maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving production equipment to ensure safe and efficient plant operations. Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on all types of production equipment.
- Operate power tools and basic shop machinery to complete repairs, modifications, and equipment improvements.
- Always follow and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Proactively collaborate with managers and team members to identify, assess, and resolve mechanical and equipment issues.
- Follow all company safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrate flexibility by working overtime, weekends, or varied schedules as needed.
Requirements
- Experience in high-speed packaging in consumer food products or pharmaceuticals required.
- Experience with overhead box conveyors and bulk delivery and storage required.
- One or two years of hands-on experience in manufacturing/industrial maintenance activities.
- Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, tape measures, and micrometers.
- Familiarity with the metric system and units of measurements.
- Read and comprehend machine user manuals, technical drawings/blueprints, and follow SOP instructions.
- Properly use hand and shop tools in a safe manner.
- Be able to assemble/disassemble components like bearings, bushings, gears, and sprockets.
- Machine shop and welding experience is preferred.
- Electrical knowledge and experience is a plus, such as using a multimeter and troubleshooting sensors and motor starters.
- Be familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices, Lock out/Tag out, and workplace safety practices.
- Technical college degree or certificates are preferred.

Additional Information
- This is a full-time permanent role on the 2nd shift, which operates Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays.
- Overtime may be available, depending on the needs of the business.
- The anticipated starting wage rate for this position is $26.55 to $31.55 per hour plus $0.60 shift differential.
