Overview

The TIG Welder position focuses on performing TIG welding within the Sanitary Production area, ensuring compliance with specifications and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Measure and align workpieces using straightedges, clamps, and various measuring equipment.
• Operate power grinders/tools, drill press, belt sander, and other miscellaneous hand tools.
• Interpret and manufacture to drawing specifications, customer requirements, and work order direction.
• Ensure welding operations meet set specifications and construction requirements and inspect finished product for defects.
• Work in a safe manner complying with all safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area following 5S procedures as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to safely lift/lower/push/pull up to 40 lbs.
• Previous experience in TIG welding of stainless steel.
• Ability to read blue prints.
• Proficient in using various measurement tools to establish the configuration or position of a welding plan.
• Ability to weld within tight tolerances.
• A team player with excellent communication skills.
• Basic computer, measurement, and math skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and blueprint reading skills.
• Ability to be flexible and adjust priorities to reflect changing needs or job demands.
• Attention to detail.
