Overview

The Welder 2 position involves welding, fabricating, and assisting pipe fitters in the installation of various types of industrial pipe within project piping systems. Candidates must pass a weld test and have significant welding experience and skills.

Responsibilities

• Selects equipment and plans layouts, assembly, and welding.
• Layout, position, align, cut, assemble, and fit metal components together.
• Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding.
• Sets up equipment and welds parts using various welding techniques.
• Welds metal materials to piping systems equipment using appropriate procedures.
• Identify all equipment for job and process.
• Identify all safety risks and requirements.

Requirements

• Must pass 2" Extra heavy carbon steel weld test in 6G position.
• Ability to weld in 2g, 4g, and 6g conditions.
• Able to Stick and Tig weld on Pipe.
• Must have current applicable welding certification with Zachry or pass a weld test.
• 4+ years of welding experience.
• Must meet all physical requirements.
• Must have all required tools upon start date.
