Overview
At Lilly, the work is demanding because patients are waiting. This position is responsible for providing welding maintenance, repair, design and fabrication services for customer owned and facilities support equipment.
Responsibilities
- Welds and repairs pressure vessels to maintain tank integrity to meet ASME codes.
- Welds and repairs pipes and fittings required by Pipe fitters and RAC Mechanics.
- Supports coil replacement associated with heating and cooling systems.
- Welds and repairs production and research equipment including non-pressurized vessels.
- Utilizes specialized techniques for welding support in sheet metal fabrication.
- Effectively uses specialized equipment for Electro-polishing and mechanical polishing.
- Participates in Root Cause Analysis and Pro-Active Asset management processes.
- Ensures a safe working environment by following safety rules.
- Works with engineers, production personnel, and customers to overcome assembly hurdles.
- Inspects finished components for dimensional accuracy and quality.
- Makes decisions under pressure and delivers assignments on schedule.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of welding trade experience.
- Legally authorized to be employed in the United States.
- High School Graduate or GED.

Additional Information
- Full Time / Day Shift; some overtime required.
- Monday through Friday.
- Flex time may be available based on individual need and work schedules.
- Required to respond to off-hour emergencies and scheduled overtime.
