Overview
The TIG Welder position involves welding various metals using TIG techniques, ensuring quality and safety in the welding process.
Responsibilities
- Safely set up and operate welding machines and other shop equipment.
- Expertly weld small, medium, and large various metals.
- Read and comprehend blueprints.
- Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications.
- Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure them in position for welding.
- Inspect grooves, angles, or gap allowances using precision measuring instruments.
- Remove rough spots from workpieces using a portable grinder, hand file, or scraper.
- Weld components in flat or vertical positions.
- Check parts to ensure they meet company standards before moving to the next department.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- TIG welding experience.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Ability to stand for 8-12 hours.
- Ability to lift 25+ lbs. repetitively.
- Reliable transportation.
- Reliable attendance record.
Additional Information
- Work schedule is from 6:00am to 4:30pm.
- Compensation starts at $20+ based on experience.
