Job Description

Overview

The TIG Welder position involves welding various metals using TIG techniques, ensuring quality and safety in the welding process.

Responsibilities

  • Safely set up and operate welding machines and other shop equipment.
  • Expertly weld small, medium, and large various metals.
  • Read and comprehend blueprints.
  • Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications.
  • Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure them in position for welding.
  • Inspect grooves, angles, or gap allowances using precision measuring instruments.
  • Remove rough spots from workpieces using a portable grinder, hand file, or scraper.
  • Weld components in flat or vertical positions.
  • Check parts to ensure they meet company standards before moving to the next department.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • TIG welding experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Ability to stand for 8-12 hours.
  • Ability to lift 25+ lbs. repetitively.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Reliable attendance record.

Additional Information

  • Work schedule is from 6:00am to 4:30pm.
  • Compensation starts at $20+ based on experience.
