Overview
Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is seeking a General Welder for the 2nd Shift, focusing on Transformer assembly. The role involves operating various welding equipment and requires specific qualifications and skills.
Responsibilities
- Operate various types of welding equipment in Transformer assembly lines.
- Perform low voltage aluminum and copper welding and mild and stainless-steel cover welding.
- Use weld fabrication equipment including plasma arc torch, tig-welder, and mig-welders.
- Work from basic prints and written instructions using judgment when complete prints are not available.
- Operate material handling equipment including bridge cranes and manually operated hand trucks.
- Place weld-on and bolt-on covers to units and perform pressure tests.
- Work in Transformer assembly positions as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of assembly experience.
- Minimum of one year of welding in a manufacturing environment or completion of a 1-year technical diploma in welding.
- Must be able to work in the US without requiring company sponsorship.
- Candidates must live within 50 miles of Waukesha WI or be active duty military service members.

Additional Information
- The hourly rate is $26.20 plus a $2.50 shift differential.
- Shift hours are from 3pm to 11pm.
- Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times.
- A sign-on bonus of $2,000 is offered, paid in two installments.
