Overview

Welder III is responsible for advanced custom fabrication techniques to create, design, and fabricate custom pieces according to client specifications, ensuring quality standards are met. The role involves inspecting and testing customized vessels for safety and functionality.

Responsibilities

  • Own and help improve performance in Safety, Quality, and Delivery.
  • Perform MIG and/or TIG welding on Carbon Steel, Aluminum, and Stainless Steel to meet quality standards.
  • Read engineering prints, weld symbols, and follow specifications.
  • Conduct basic operator preventative maintenance for welding-related equipment.
  • Maneuver in tight and small spaces.
  • Work at heights of 15-20 ft.
  • Assist in different departments as assigned by the supervisor or team leader.
  • Wear approved personal protective equipment.
  • Complete assigned duties in accordance with safety policies and practices.
  • Mentor Level 1 & 2 Welders when needed.

Requirements

  • Advanced reading, writing, math, and verbal skills.
  • Ability to follow and understand engineering prints, specifications, and instructions.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Certified in TIG welding (T11-01, T11-02, M21-04, M21-05).
  • Advanced level fabrication skills.
