Overview

Midsouth Steel, a leader in the fabrication and erection of steel stairs, rails, and other miscellaneous steel, has an immediate need for experienced Field Welders. This is a full-time on-site role for projects in the Charlotte, NC area and surrounding cities.

Responsibilities

• Assemble steel structures using power tools and welding equipment.
• Handle iron and steel components safely.
• Ensure safety and fall protection measures are followed.
• Rig and safely lift steel components.
• Follow blueprints and technical drawings.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently.

Requirements

• OSHA 10 required, OSHA 30 preferred.
• Certifications in welding, forklift, scissor lift, and rigging.
• Experience working with power tools and welding equipment.
• Proficiency in handling iron and steel components.
• Knowledge of fall protection and safety measures.
• Skills in rigging and lifting steel components.
• Excellent physical stamina and the ability to work at heights.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to technical drawings.
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
• Relevant certifications or training in steel erecting or related fields.
