Overview

Oregon Tool, Inc. is seeking a Fabricator Welder to join their team in Prescott, AZ. The role involves fabricating and welding sheet metal using various techniques while maintaining a focus on safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate MIG, TIG, soldering, tacking, and brazing equipment while adhering to safety standards.
• Interpret drawings and work instructions to align, fit, and fabricate parts to precise specifications.
• Prepare materials through cleaning, sanding, and forming.
• Monitor weld quality, make real-time adjustments, and ensure finished products meet standards.
• Perform autonomous and preventive maintenance on welding equipment.
• Manage consumables and utilize SAP for material tracking.
• Collaborate with Engineering on new and prototype products.
• Lead and participate in Lean/5S and DMS activities.
• Track KPIs, identify cost savings, and optimize welding processes.
• Train Team Members on safe welding operations and advanced welding techniques.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED required plus formal welding training (GMAW/GTAW certification or equivalent).
• 10+ years in manufacturing with 8+ years hands-on welding experience.
• Experience with MIG, TIG, soldering, tacking, and brazing on sheet metal.
• Comfortable using SAP, CAD, and Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong math skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Effective communicator who trains and mentors others.

Additional Information

• Work location is Prescott, AZ.
• Schedule is Monday-Thursday from 5am to 3:30pm with opportunities for overtime.
