Overview

The Spot Welder Set Up Operator is responsible for the spot welding of various parts according to engineering specifications, ensuring that all necessary parts are accounted for and properly staged for the next operation. The role requires operating different spot welding machines, including stud welding machines, while maintaining equipment and performing quality checks.

Responsibilities

  • Perform spot welding of various parts according to engineering specifications.
  • Ensure all necessary parts are accounted for and properly staged for the next operation.
  • Operate different spot welding machines, including stud welding machines.
  • Read work orders and prints.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping of the work center.
  • Maintain proper condition of equipment.
  • Perform quality checks and appearance checks of finished units or parts.
  • Ensure all test procedures are performed and parts are made according to engineering requirements.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to work with others in a team environment.
  • Ability to utilize computers and bar coding to track parts, routings, job orders, pick lists, employee labor, and attendance.
