Responsibilities

• Assemble Electro-Mechanical parts and perform inner chassis wiring connections using various tools.
• Assemble Magnetic assemblies through all stages of the process.
• Assemble wood crates/pallets as needed.
• Perform simple to semi-complex cable assembly per shop order instructions.
• Understand standard hardware installation sequence.
• Read hardware descriptions on Engineering BOM and identify hardware characteristics.
• Communicate issues and concerns to supervisors/managers.
• Comply with company safety rules and regulations.
• Ensure accuracy of time charging on jobs performed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
• Pass soldering test and be certified ANSI-J-STD-001 as required.
• Read and understand both written and verbal instructions in English.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
• Minimum 2-5 years experience assembling electro/mechanical hardware, preferably to military requirements.
• Able to pass soldering test and be certified ANSI-J-STD-001 and/or IPC610 as required.
• Good knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620.
• Good to excellent assembly blueprint reading skills.
• Ability to read and understand both written and verbal instructions in English.
• Good understanding of hardware requirements.
