Moog is a performance culture that empowers people to achieve great things, focusing on solving interesting technical challenges in a trusting environment. The A&T Technician II role involves precision assembly and testing of complex production and repair actuators in the Aerospace industry.

Responsibilities

  • Perform precision assembly on complex production and repair actuators.
  • Adjust or align through shimming and other means of mechanical adjustments specified by blueprint or other specification limits.
  • Utilize a variety of mechanical measuring equipment such as dial indicators, calipers, and indicating micrometers.
  • Maintain dimensional accuracy on assemblies utilizing torque wrenches, fixtures, tooling, gages, and other measuring devices.
  • Perform various test operations on production or repair mechanical or hydraulic actuators using necessary test equipment.
  • Diagnose common test failures and recommend or perform rework to correct discrepancies.
  • Hold problem units for engineering disposition.
  • Ensure that units are tested in conformance with current revision letters.
  • Test repair models for conformance to acceptance test procedures.
  • Utilize mechanical or electronic measuring equipment to validate acceptance of models.
  • Order parts as necessary utilizing the RUR and WDS systems.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year or more of Assembly experience in mechanical, hydraulic, electromechanical, or electronic fields.
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification is a plus.
  • Must meet FAA's drug and alcohol testing program requirements.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Assembly experience in the Aerospace industry.
  • Experience performing precision assembly and test of hydraulic, mechanical, and electromechanical flight actuators.
  • Experience with precision measuring equipment such as dial indicators, calipers, and micrometers.
  • Experience with diagnosing/troubleshooting mechanical components and test failures.
  • Basic computer program skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Possess or be able to obtain Security Clearance.
