Overview
The Marvin Group, a leading defense contractor, is seeking an Electrical Assembler II to manufacture Build-to-Print Alternate Mission Equipment for military applications. The role involves assembling, testing, and modifying electronic and electromechanical components in a collaborative and process-centric environment.
Responsibilities
- Setup and operate various types of equipment, tools, and fixtures to fabricate and assemble electrical assemblies.
- Perform manual and computer-controlled operations for assembly and testing as required.
- Understand and use planning instructions and assembly drawings.
- Follow all policies and procedures to protect product from Electro-Static Discharge (ESD) damage.
- Maintain Hi-REL soldering certification, specifications, and procedures.
- Learn, participate, and apply various trainings into daily work.
- Verify that all components, consumables, equipment, and calibration are within tolerance/expiration before use.
- Use Lean and 6S methodologies to improve and maintain an efficient work area.
- Perform other related duties as may be required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must have 3-5 years’ experience.
- Basic computer skills.
- Must be able to read blueprints and/or schematics.
- IPC-610 and IPC-620 certifications or equivalent required.
- J-STD-001 certification required for Solder role.
- Ability to perform moderate, demanding, physical and repetitious work.
- Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve problems.
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
- Must be able to speak/read/write English.
- Must be able to lift 35 lbs.
