Overview

SWD Inc. is a recognized leader in the Metal Finishing and Fastener Sorting fields, seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift from 3pm-11pm. The position offers a starting pay range of $18.75/hr to $35.00/hr, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate or modify equipment using hand tools, such as saws, drills, and grinders.
• Detect unusual sounds from machines indicating malfunctions.
• Install piping systems in PVC, stainless steel, and/or iron pipe.
• Install machinery and equipment according to specifications.
• Repair and maintain centrifugal and pneumatic pumps.
• Weld metal parts with either TIG or arc.
• Complete appropriate documents and necessary paperwork.
• Comply with all SWD Inc. safety rules and regulations.
• Be aware of SWD Inc. company policy and procedures, including the quality system as defined by QS-9000 and ISO-14001.
• Troubleshoot minor electrical problems like blown fuses and shorts.

Requirements

• GED or High School Diploma.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs.
• Prior technical maintenance experience.
• Availability to work occasional weekends.
• Manufacturing experience and forklift experience is a plus.
