Overview

Double Good is a leading fundraising app and technology company that helps youth organizations raise funds through short, high-impact fundraisers. They are seeking a Maintenance Technician for their Burr Ridge production facility to support maintenance and performance of manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain cooking, packaging, and bagging equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment to reduce failure.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing failures.
• Perform facility repairs including painting and replacing light bulbs.
• Safely repair electrical systems, including high voltage and motor testing.
• Identify improvement projects to reduce downtime and increase throughput.
• Understand drawings and equipment manuals.
• Assess work orders and plan jobs.
• Use lean manufacturing principles to improve communication and problem-solving.
• Utilize a CMMS system to document work performed.
• Communicate effectively with production workers, managers, and fellow technicians.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical machine repair.
• Knowledge of GMP’s and ability to follow food safety guidelines.
• Ability to understand drawings and equipment manuals.
• Ability to use a multimeter.
• Basic understanding of electrical components and troubleshooting.
• 3+ years of experience in a maintenance role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in food manufacturing.

Additional Information

• This role will be onsite at the Burr Ridge production facility with occasional visits to the Elmhurst facility.
• This is a second shift role from 1:00pm - 9:30pm.
