Overview

Chemring Energetic Devices (CED) is celebrating 50 years of innovation in building products that protect the country and individual warfighters. The company is located in Downers Grove, Illinois, and is looking for talented individuals to join their team as Mechanical Assemblers.

Responsibilities

• Assemble small electro-explosive units with detailed parts following standardized methods.
• Use basic hand tools to build and troubleshoot ordnance and pyrotechnic assemblies.
• Follow detailed procedures as required by aerospace and defense industry customers.
• Assemble hardware using parts list, custom tooling, and pneumatic press crimping.
• Fill out assembly paperwork accurately and maintain accountability for its integrity.

Requirements

• Must be a lawful US person due to ITAR restrictions.
• Eligible to possess explosives under the Safe Explosives Act of 2003.
• Ability to function effectively in a multi-tasking, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent fine motor skills to work with very small devices, microscopes, and tools.
• Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
