Overview

Boart Longyear is seeking experienced-level Mechanics for an on-the-road position with a 14/7 roster, including potential night shifts. This role involves supporting crews in challenging drilling jobs, offering opportunities for high earnings and valuable trade experience.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with repairs on diesel powered hydraulic systems and machinery
• Supporting and assisting with diagnosis of hydraulic problems in equipment
• Performing basic maintenance of equipment
• Working safely while meeting all compliance requirements

Requirements

• Typically requires a HS Diploma or equivalent
• Basic knowledge of tools and mechanical systems preferred
• Basic knowledge of FMCSA rules and regulations preferred or willingness to learn
• Basic knowledge of duplex and triplex mud pumps preferred or willingness to learn
• Able to lift 50 pounds frequently
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions and a demanding 14-on/7-off schedule with night shift potential
• Must be willing to travel to field locations across the US
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
• Willingness to acquire necessary tools
• Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a CDL
• Must be able to be MSHA/OSHA certified
