Overview

At Dow, we prioritize people and are committed to integrity, respect, and safety. The Instrument Mechanic role involves maintaining and troubleshooting electrical and instrument equipment at the Croydon Site, supporting production plants in Bristol and Croydon.

Responsibilities

• Maintain instrument and electrical equipment with a primary focus on instrumentation.
• Set up, calibrate, test, measure, and repair electrical controls, instruments, and electronic variables.
• Repair, maintain, and install electrical and instrument equipment and machinery.
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions safely and efficiently, documenting failure analysis.
• Collect equipment operation and history data to facilitate reliability improvements.
• Participate in the implementation of the Global Maintenance Work Process for E/I work.
• Provide required information from each job performed to the Work Activity Coordinator.
• Assist the Field Planner in assembling effective plans for complex E/I jobs.
• Coordinate E/I troubleshooting based on priority in the plant.
• Provide Operating Discipline for E/I tasks in the area of responsibility.
• Work with the PPM Coordinator to define appropriate E/I spare parts and scheduled services.

Requirements

• A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3 or more years of experience in an instrumentation maintenance role.
• Must have a current, valid US driver’s license.
• Willing and able to work overtime and answer emergency calls off hours.
• Ability to work legally in the United States without visa sponsorship.
