Overview

LIGHTERA is a global leader in optical fiber and connectivity solutions, seeking a Pipefitter to support their Maintenance Department in Norcross, GA. The role involves installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment related to fiber optic processes.

Responsibilities

• Independently plan work assignments and perform duties with minimal supervision.
• Train and direct plant trades helpers and junior trades workers.
• Collaborate with personnel to resolve problems and recommend solutions.
• Wear and properly store all personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

• Two years of an accredited Trades School with certification or equivalent practical experience.
• Demonstrated ability with basic skills associated with pipefitting.
• Qualified as an Emergency Response Technician per federal regulations.
• Training and certification in Emergency Medical Service as defined by the State of Georgia.
• Pass required physical as specified in federal and state regulations.
• Ability to troubleshoot machine problems.
• Proficient in reading and writing in English.
• Understand and read process and instrumentation diagrams and piping diagrams.
• Strong computer skills for looking up machine parts and schematics.
